The Point
What’s the point?
This site started as a place for me to share my interests. That pile of divergent bits and pieces went together like puzzle pieces from different puzzles. So, I thought about the problem. I considered and calculated. I worked and researched about the issue. In spite of these facts and I came up with several solutions.
First, the thought of changing the site from a site of many interests from one person to a site focusing on one area of interest from several people. Especially people with more knowledge and writing ability than me.
Second, the most popular interest, of my offered list, was food related. So, and this is quite a reach, I decided to focus this site on food. I won’t go through the complex calculus-like calculations I had to go through to get to that conclusion.
Third, a name change. Ideas were tried and considered, but they all felt wrong somehow. Then one day an idea popped into my head, don’t look so surprised it happened before just not that often. “In Good Taste” was adopted, and in spite of the source, it was embraced as a good title.
So with a direction and a purpose, the journey began. The boundaries of this site are anything food related. Even that broad description gets pushed pretty far now and then. In order to fill in all of the shortcomings in my base of knowledge, I have recruited people with different tastes and experience than myself. The hope is that we will have people who can deal with all aspects of cooking and food in the near future.
